If you like chocolate, and you like beetroot, then you’ll LOVE this super moist cake!
This is a very new blog so I am working on updating all of my recipe descriptions! In the meantime, you can still find the recipe for this unique chocolate beetroot loaf cake below!
RECIPE (8 servings): |
INGREDIENTS: Loaf cake: -160g beetroot purée (I boil first, then pulse) -60g cocoa powder -40g beetroot powder -200g plain flour -1 tbsp baking powder -200g sugar -3 eggs -175ml grapeseed oil Glaze: -100g white chocolate -2 tsps beetroot powder METHOD: Loaf cake: Preheat the oven to 190C. Using an electric mixer, mix all of the ingredients together, except the oil. When combined, start adding the oil gradually, while still mixing on medium speed. Once the oil is fully incorporated, transfer mixture in to a greased loaf tin. Bake for 45 mins or until a knife comes out dry. Let the loaf cool on a rack before making the glaze. Glaze: Melt the white chocolate using the bain-marie method. Once melted, stir in the beetroot powder and mix until fully incorporated. Using a spoon, drizzle the glaze over the cooled-down loaf. It is now ready to be sliced, served and enjoyed! |
